May 19, 2020
Dear Members,
We wanted to provide all our members a new update given the fluid situation that we are all living with the Coronavirus pandemic. Our last update was on May 7, 2020.
We are sorry to report that due to continued government restrictions our return to our pool will be delayed and we will not be opening Memorial Day weekend as planned. Please see Montgomery County release from yesterday.

Our pool management company, Georgetown Aquatics, has prepared our pool for opening. Once given the green light, we are ready to open.
The DRA Board has been in constant communication with each other, Georgetown Aquatics, other county pool board of directors, and DRA members during the past two months discussing and considering all options.
It is simply too early for us to make any final decisions on:
- Opening day
- Social distancing protocols
- 2020 pool dues, as our expenses vary based on opening day
We are staying optimistic that we WILL be open at some point this summer.
We want to thank those of you that have paid your dues, as we requested.
We still ask that you pay your current 2020 invoice as you normally would. They were due last Friday, May 15th. If the pool does not open, we will determine the final Coronavirus 2020 fee and send you a check back for the difference. This Coronavirus 2020 fee will not be optional, and all members will need to pay to keep our pool fiscally sound and viable to open in summer 2021.
Things could change in coming days or weeks, but this is where we are as of today. We are happy to discuss this with any member.
We will update our website (www.damascuspool.org) every Friday at 5pm with an update of anything that we have learned from Montgomery County. Please check our website every Friday.
Stay safe and healthy,
DRA Board of Directors
